Seaway Mall Raises $7,660 for Make a Meal Come True Campaign
Welland, ON – January 18, 2024 – Seaway Mall is proud to announce that they have successfully raised $7,660 for the Make a Meal Come True campaign, benefiting Holy Trinity Church and Open Arms Mission of Welland. The funds raised helped provide meals to those in need during the holiday season.
The Make a Meal Come True campaign saw tremendous support from the community, with Holy Trinity Church and Open Arms Mission of Welland being the beneficiaries of the funds. Holy Trinity Church alone prepared, packaged, and hand-delivered 500 meals on Christmas Day, ensuring that individuals and families in need had a warm and nourishing meal during the festive season. As usual, 100% of the funds donated have been split equally between the two charities to help ensure their food security efforts.
This year, Seaway Mall introduced a new way for people to contribute to the campaign by allowing donations via e-transfer. This convenient and accessible method of donation allowed individuals to support the cause from the comfort of their own homes. The community responded generously, showcasing their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
The success of the campaign was also attributed to the dedicated volunteers from Holy Trinity Church, who tirelessly promoted the fundraiser and kept it at the forefront of people’s minds during the busy holiday season. Jim Butts, the organizer of the volunteers, expressed his gratitude for the support received from the volunteers and the community.
Marty Misener, with his unique charm and witty play on nostalgia, played a crucial role in setting the tone for the campaign through organic digital marketing efforts. His creative videos, reminiscent of Clark Griswold, captured the spirit of giving and inspired individuals to contribute to the Make a Meal Come True campaign with the vision brought to life by Josh Walsh.
The campaign’s outstanding success surpassed previous years, with a remarkable 52% increase in profits. This achievement is a testament to the generosity and compassion of the Welland community, as well as the dedication of all those involved in organizing and promoting the campaign.
