Black History Month: Rochelle Bush

February 10 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Join us on Saturday, February 10th in Centre Court, where Rochelle Bush will be giving a live presentation about early Black settlers in the Niagara Region from 2pm-3:30pm.

Black History Month is here– so let’s learn more about early Black settlers, communities, and events in old Lincoln and Welland Counties with Rochelle Bush!

More on Rochelle:
Rochelle is a freedom seeker descendant. Her lineage can be traced back to her great-great-grandfather who was the minister-in-charge of the church in which Harriet Tubman was a member.

Her direct knowledge of local freedom seekers who fled to Canada via the UGGR (Underground Railroad) allows people to understand the essential role freedom seekers played in the region’s history.

Over twenty-five years ago Rochelle began to preserve, promote and protect Canada’s rich Black history. Today, Rochelle Bush is the owner and primary guide of Tubman Tours Canada!
