Make A Meal Come True This Holiday Season
(Welland, Ontario) Nov. 16, 2020 – The Make a Meal Come True campaign is our way of giving back to those who need it the most. Over the last two years Seaway Mall, Holy Trinity and Open Arms Mission have asked our community to make a Christmas meal come true for someone in need.
To make a meal come true, we are asking each of you to help us reach a goal of feeding 500 people. Each meal will cost $10 and people wishing to donate can do so at Seaway’s Customer Service desk.
The Christmas dinner will be prepared by Welland’s Holy Trinity Church and delivered on December 25TH, 2020. The donations will also help Open Arms Mission to give meals to the less fortunate and to help re-stock their Food Bank after the holiday season.
“Each year we look forward to working together with the community, and this year is especially important.” said Mike Belcastro, President of the Mall. “The Make a Meal Come True campaign reminds us that the people who are in need today, need the support of their community. Once again, we’re delighted to help brighten up someone’s day with a hot meal this Christmas.”
“In these unprecedented times of uncertainty, our Community Spirit is being tested,” said Mark McGill, Parishioner at Holy Trinity. “With your generous donation to the Seaway Mall, Open Arms Mission and/or Welland Harvest Kitchen, our Community will shine as a beacon. It will remove the gloom and restore the true spirit of this great community we call HOME. Thank you!”
