? Plot Summary:

The story centers around Kevin Wendell Crumb (played by James McAvoy), a man suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), who possesses 23 distinct personalities—with a 24th, more powerful one known as “The Beast,” preparing to emerge.

Kevin kidnaps three teenage girls—Casey, Claire, and Marcia—and holds them in a hidden underground facility. As the girls attempt to escape, they encounter several of Kevin’s personalities, each with different traits, behaviors, and degrees of helpfulness or danger.

One of the girls, Casey Cooke (played by Anya Taylor-Joy), uses her past trauma and psychological insight to try and survive. The story builds to the terrifying arrival of “The Beast,” a superhuman persona that exhibits incredible strength and invulnerability.

The film ends with Kevin’s emergence as “The Horde”, and a post-credit twist reveals that this story exists in the same universe as Unbreakable (2000), connecting the two films and setting up the sequel, Glass (2019).
