Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
April 8 @ 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Join us for a safe viewing of the solar eclipse located in Centre Court!
We will be hosting the Viewing Party from 2pm – 4:30pm on a projector screen. We hope to see you there to witness this amazing phenomenon! Did you know…solar eclipses are fairly easy to come by (about 2 to 4 per year), but the grounds covered by totality is only about 80km wide. In any given location on Earth, a total eclipse happens only once every hundred years or so, though for selected locations they can occur as little as a few years apart. That’s why seeing the eclipse is so exciting. For some, it could truly be once in a lifetime!
Eclipse Anticipated Timing:
2:10 p.m.
The event begins the moment the edge of the moon touches the edge of the sun.
3:25 p.m
The maximum view (the deepest point of the eclipse) with the Sun at its most hidden.
4:36 p.m.
The event ends when the edge of the moon leaves the edge of the sun.
