Dozens of Wellanders welcomed home Sunnyside Dairy wagon

Welland Ontario, October 6, 2018 – Welland welcomed home one of the Sunnyside Dairy wagon on Saturday October 6, 2018 in the Centre Court of the Seaway Mall. After the discovery that one of the wagons might still be in existence, Brad Ulch and Ken Leblanc made it their mission to locate the wagon. Working with the Welland Museum, the Seaway Mall and through the generous support of the community, the wagon will once again been part of our community story.

“We all have a memory or story of the dairy wagon, it brings back memories from a simpler time when we knew our neighbor, or milkman” said Museum Manager/Curator Penny Morningstar. The public was invited to join us for a small ceremony at the Seaway Mall where the wagon will be on display along with information boards and contact info for those wishing to share their memories with the Museum.

If you would like more information or to set up a time to be interviewed, please call Penny Morningstar, Museum Manager/Curator at 905 732.2215 or email penny@wellandmuseum.ca.
