Staples and Bear Sushi celebrated their grand openings with a day full of discounts, contests and delicious sushi on Saturday December 9th, at Seaway Mall.
To start the day off, Stapleshosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 am with remarks by Mike Belcastro, President of Seaway Mall and Frank Campion, Mayor of the City of Welland. At 9:00 am the doors opened, welcoming the public to their newest location. Following Staples event, Bear Sushi also cut the ribbon to honour the opening of their Seaway Mall location.
Owner of Bear Sushi, Cho Young, said the name of his business carries a special meaning, “Bear was the symbol of a professional baseball team owned by a company where I had my first full time job” he explained. “In addition, bear is the first animal that comes to mind when you think of salmon”.
“We are very happy to welcome both Staples and Bear Sushi to our Seaway family”, said Mike Belcastro, President of the Mall.
